Specific literacy skills programming determines the student’s areas of proficiency and/or instability. Crested Peak provides such services to establish a secure foundation of reliable and relatable literacy rules and methods.

Literacy development is the process of learning words, sounds, and sub lexical rules. Other literacy skills include vocabulary, spelling, and comprehension. Children need to develop literacy skills as they are an essential part of the student’s overall confidence in communicating with others. Children who have developed strong reading and writing skills perform better in school and have a healthier self-image.

Being organized is a transferable skill that can be used in most settings. For students, being organized is particularly important since it helps them learn how to prioritize activities, set and achieve goals that will reduce stress.

Crested Peak incorporates an organizational and time management framework to provide a support system that helps students keep track of course notes, work in progress, and performance tracking.

Good organizational skills help students learn how to collaborate with others more easily and increase productivity and efficiency.

Homeschooling and Curriculum Development is a collaborative, interest-based approach when creating curricula. Depending upon the student, this can be as foundational or as diverse as the parent/guardian desires.

Each course is designed to include core principles tailored specifically for each student. This can include math coupled with art, or language arts/literature combined with technology, architecture or geography.

Crested Peak is versed in providing customized home school teaching and programming to address unique situations that benefit the family’s academic needs whether staying local or planning a multi-month/destination trip.

The importance of standardized tests is constantly changing, and the tests themselves are also morphing and changing. Understanding the nuances of the tests and how students react to those differences helps achieve the best scores possible.

Our students are able to improve their scores through practice in targeted areas based on constant diagnostic testing. They gain a degree of comfort with standardized test-taking strategies, as well as proficiency in subject-based knowledge.

Students who prepare using Official SAT Practice see substantial improvement in their SAT scores.

We provide test preparation services for private elementary entrance exams and college preparatory entrance exams including PSAT, PLAN, SAT, ACT, ISEE and SSAT.

Financial literacy is the confident understanding of commercial concepts including saving, investing and debt that leads to an overall sense of financial well-being and self-trust. Financial literacy is foundational when building a healthy relationship with money. The earlier you start, the better off you will be because education is the key to success when it comes to finance.

Crested Peak offers a Financial Literacy course introducing basic credit/debit tracking, interest applications, currency valuations, and fiscal responsibility.
